Ghassan Fanous, M.D., has a passion for serving the community in which he works. After many successful years at Kelsey-Seybold a major multi-specialty group in Houston, he longed to give patients the time and attention he believed they deserved. He relocated to Odessa in 2003 and has provided exceptional care to women in the area since.
Dr. Fanous graduated from Richardson High School and received a degree in biology from Baylor University. In 1991, he earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Fanous enjoys medical privileges at both Odessa Regional Medical Center and Medical Center Hospital, and he has served on the board of the Permian Basin Health Network and Holy Cross High School.
Dr. Fanous married Jennie in 1991. They have five children: Erika, Luke, Mark, John Paul, and Matthew Jude.
Dr. Fanous cherishes the simple achievements he experiences working with his patients -- notably, with helping women bring new life into the world and being a partner in their healthcare.

Dr. Fanous received the Odessa American Reader's Choice award for Best Physician in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2015. In 2017, he received Best Ob/Gyn from the same group. In 2016, he was named a Community Statesman in health & medicine by the Heritage Foundation.
